How do you see the world? In many things in life, I find that if I look at things without prejudice or stop thinking of what I think it should be, only then do I truly see. Sometimes you have to be still. Like people, these Hydrangeas aren’t just one color, but a spectrum of colors. When I color or paint I try to look at individual parts and then I see the true colors that make up the actual flower.

This is made as a Matchbook funfold. I love this fold because it’s a substantial card that the recipient could even frame if they wanted to. I stamped in no-line ink using this retired stamp from WPlus9.

After coloring with Copics, I ink blended the outside edge of the panel, then used some of my vintage stamps to stamp the watermarks. More vintage stamps were used on the flap. I used gold, white and brown to spatter the panel. When I’m coloring a more complicated piece I do it on a panel and adhere the panel to the card.

Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
