‘Tis the Season…pre-make those embellishments!

Frame those simple images with creative details for fun card this Christmas Season ❤️

Whether you color, paint or use an image from a paper pad, you can add details to make it special. This is one of my favorite stamps for the holidays. For the car’s light string I added glossy accents and wink of Stella on the snow and wheels.

I decorated the Christmas tree with premade embellishments.

Waiting for Nuvo drops to dry isn’t fun. Use the backing from an adhesive sheet to glue on on some cardstock and pre-make your embellishments! I don’t recommend using clear acetate as the drops are hard to remove.

Recently I took the time to make a stack of tiny flags to add to my cards. I like how it “expands” the message on the card without overwhelming it. While I’m tying tiny bows, I just go ahead and make several to grab and go.

Spruce up your framing by cutting out the aperture of your choice then run it through with an embossing folder. Cut THEN embossing (not the other way around), so your embossing is crisp. 99% of the time I pop up these frames with fun foam.

Why Fun foam instead of foam tape? When you use the fun foam, you have a lot of time to adjust your frame on the base and it’s very inexpensive.

Final bling was the stamp and embossed sentiment. What do you think? How do you take your images to the next level?

Hugs all around – Kathy

  1. As a basically CAS card maker, I don’t use a lot of bling, and I had better use up what I have got before I start making more 🙂 i think what I have will likely see me out
