It’s a debate. Ready for snow or not? I guess it depends on where you live, but I’m gearing up for the warm fires, crisp air and of course Christmas! How about you? Too soon?

This time I’m sharing two versions, but the same techniques for both. There are so many cute images in this Whimsy stamp set, I had sooooo many ideas.
Creation
It’s true I don’t use a lot of colored cardstock since I’m very picky on matching tones/hues and find ink blending and even coloring works best for me, however, in this case I did use colored stock.
First I have two panels of the same blue cardstock. This is an A6 card, so one is cut to mat and the other just smaller than the frame die.

I heat embossed the Gina K Sparkling Snowflake stamps with white embossing powder on the small panel.

For bright white embossing, first stamp with white ink (careful these inks can be juicy!) then heat emboss with white powder.
Next I cut out a background frame die from my stash. This one is no longer available, but you can use some of the popular postage dies or create your own with small squares and rectangle dies. I mounted this to the embossed panel popping it up with stacked strips of paper. This makes a stronger pop-up element than foam.

After Copic coloring the cute mice from Whimsy, I cut them out and arranged them on the panel. Popping up as necessary.
Finishing: I stamped and matted the sentiments. The white frame was “painted” with Wink of Stella for bling. Glossy accents was added to the candy canes and berries. White gel pen here and there as usual. Pearls and White dots finished this little creation. I would love to hear if you gave this a try! Hugs all around – Kathy
