Friendship

Friendship comes in all shapes and sizes. When we have each other we have everything. This card is a tribute to my son Ben. He’s not only my son, but my best friend ❤️❤️.

These adorable bunnies are from Stampingbella‘s Bunny Pile stamp. I have used them so many times and I never tire of coloring them with my Copics.

Starting with the card layout, this is a revision inspired by Jill Foster at Penny Black Inc. It’s a layout that never fails to disappoint.

For the base, this is an A6 panel cut down by 1/4”. With the falling hearts embossing folder, I embossed 1/2 of the panel and cut a thin strip of cardstock, gluing in the center to cover the seam. The sentiment was stamped in gray ink.

For the focal panel, I stamped, colored with copics, and fussy cut the bunnies. Next I cut three frames and glued them together for dimension. With a smaller piece of cardstock (for the background), I ink blended and used some botanical stamps from my stash for the tone on tone stamping. HINT: I stamped the images and then used the stamp again for a secondary image without reinking the stamp.

Everything was glued flat to the base panel then popped up with fun foam on the card base. Only the bunnies were popped up with foam to raise them above the frame. Clear stickles and some sparkle finished off the project ❤️.

Thanks for stopping by and hugs all around – Kathy
