Don’t get caged in…Let your dreams blossom! You’re never too old or young to step out and explore your dream. Only you can do it! What are you waiting for?

Creation

For me, a lot of thought goes into a card. The message I want to convey to the recipient is more than a sentiment. It’s a feeling. Heart and hugs.

This card is no different. Similar to an earlier post, I found a free .png image and printed it twice on linen textured cardstock. Both panels were cut a little smaller than an A6 positioning the image in the bottom left corner. I stacked these together and cut at once so they were identical. If these steps are done correctly, the rest is easy. With the Vintage Birdcage die from Hero Arts, the die was positioned over the flower image and cut. Save the die cut AND the panel. I stamped the sentiment with a soft gray on this panel.

Now since the first steps were done exact, I layered the die cut panel over the back full-printed panel and and popped it up with strips of cardstock. It’s minor and just enough dimension, yet sturdy. (Use your scraps!) Then the die was glued inside the cutout and directly to the back panel. Lots of gentle dimension.

Everything was mounted to an A6 card base a couple of paper hearts and bling finished it out.

Hope you try this and I’m here for any questions you may have!

Hugs all around – Kathy

  1. Wow – this is exquisite, Kathy. Love that subtle dimension, and texture of the cardstock used.

    Blessings
